[Recipe] Turkey Meatballs with Orange Cranberry Sauce

Looking for the perfect appetizer for your Thanksgiving meal?  Turkey Meatballs with Orange Cranberry sauce is sure to be a great way to kick start your holiday party!  

INGREDIENTS:

1 1/4 pd organic ground turkey

1/4 tsp poultry seasoning

1/2 tsp garlic salt

1 tsp onion powder

1 tsp salt

1 large egg, beaten

1/2 tsp pepper

1/4 tsp Worcestershire sauce

1 pinch cayenne pepper

1/4 cup milk

1/2 cup bread crumbs (substitue for gluten free if desired)

1 tbsp olive oil

1 cup canned jellied cranberry sauce

1/2 cup orange marmalade

1/2 cup chicken broth

1 tbsp minced jalapeno pepper (optional)

DIRECTIONS:

Mix turkey, poultry seasoning, garlic salt, onion powder, salt, pepper, worcestershire sauce and cayenne pepper in a medium size bowl.

Stir in egg, milk and bread crumbs.

Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour.

Roll turkey mixture into balls.

Heat olive oil in a skillet.

Add meatballs to pan until cooked through and browned and then remove from heat.

Combine cranberry sauce, marmalade and chicken broth in saucepan over medium heat. 

Stir in jalapeno.

Return meatballs to skillet, pour sauce over meatballs cook until heated through.

Serving Size: 8
